RULE BOOK

Eligibility

- Open to UG and PG candidates

Robot Specifications

Weight & Dimensions

- Maximum Weight: 5 kg (with 5% tolerance)

- Maximum Dimensions: 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm (L x W x H, including wheels)

Power Limit

- Maximum 24V DC

Team Composition

- Each team can have up to 5 participants

Connectivity

- Both wired and wireless bots are allowed

- If wired, the wire’s length must not exceed 1.3 times the arena's diagonal dimension

Prohibited Actions

- No grippers or actuators that can harm opponents

- No touching or damaging opponents’ wires

- No allowing the ball to leave the arena

- No human interference (touching the robot during the game)

Event Format

- Knockout Matches: 2-minute halves

- Quarterfinals & Semifinals: 3.5-minute halves

- Finals: 5-minute halves

Gameplay & Scoring Rules

- If a bot stops working, the opponent cannot score until it resumes

- If a goal is scored while a bot is inactive, it is counted as a foul

- If a bot remains inactive for 50 seconds, the match is awarded to the opponent

- If both bots or the ball get stuck, the ball is reset to center, and bots return to goalposts

- Attacking or damaging opponents' robots may result in disqualification

- 3 points per goal

- 1st foul is excused, subsequent fouls result in 1-point deduction

- Winner is determined based on total points scored

Match Rules

- Pre-Match Inspection: Robots checked for safety compliance

- Bots must not separate into multiple parts

- Teams have 2 minutes before each half for adjustments

- 1 minute repair time allowed without penalty

- Additional 1 minute repair time results in a 1-point deduction

- If still immobile, the bot is disqualified

- Wire entanglement pauses the match until resolved

- Pneumatics allowed: Non-flammable pressurized gases, max 6 bar pressure

- Hydraulics NOT allowed

- Arena damage by bots leads to disqualification

Fouls

- Incorrect positioning of bots

- Lifting the ball off the ground

- Deliberate ramming/damage to opponent

- Goal Post: 60 cm x 40 cm

- Side Wall Height: 8 cm

- Penalty Box: 60 cm x 36 cm

- Centre Circle Diameter: 60 cm

- The organizers reserve the right to modify any rules if required
